When Your Desire Is Aligned With Being Intentional

I am not even going to lie. When I did a search looking for an image to coincide with desire, I was completely caught off guard. Lesson learned on doing a search for words that mean various things. LOL! Your desire aligned with intentional is one way to guarantee your success. Intentional simply means, by design. By design, your faith grows stronger. By design, your relationships are better. By design, you found a career you love. Hopefully you get my point. When you achieve success and master life, it will be intentional.

I love this word, intentional. I’ve heard it most of my life, but it never resonated with me quite like it did when I took a class at my church. The class was titled, Intentional Parenting. The class which consisted of several videos and one workbook were written by Doug and Cathy Fields. If I remember correctly, you start by answering five questions. These questions center around what you want your child or children to be like by the time they turn eighteen. Then as you go through the course you create an intentional plan to increase your odds that the answers you responded with become the reality.

There’s little to no flexibility with being intentional. You must choose to be intentional if you want to master your life. Remember, intentional means, by design. Everything you do in Mastery 40 will be by design. Not my design, but your design. Everything God did was by design. It was intentional. As you move forward in Mastery 40, everything you do will need to have intentional thought behind it. Your goals will need to be intentional; your dreams will need to be intentional. Always ask, “How can I be intentional to ensure I achieve my desired outcome?” And once you master this you can even be an intentional jerk like I was to my ex-wife. No, don’t ever become an intentional jerk. In fact, here’s a quick Randy was an intentional jerk story.

One time she booked us a trip to the beach, I love the beach, so I was genuinely excited about this weeklong trip. So were our kids. However, I have been to the beach enough times that I knew we should have turned right when we turned left. You guessed it. We were close to the beach but not on the beach. We were at a great resort, but not on the beach. We would need to drive just a few miles down the road to get sand on our feet, but no this wasn’t good enough for me. I became an intentional jerk and ended up ruining the entire trip before we even unloaded our bags. I encourage you to use the power of being intentional for good, you will live with fewer regrets.
