The Final Round - In The Locker Room

I am sitting here the night before Round 12 with many thoughts racing through my mind. It's amazing how Satan knows where to attack us in our weakest moments. Some of these are the same tired tactics he has used since he was removed from the presence of all things holy. My mind is bouncing from things like the following:

• Where are my friends, some I haven't heard from in over a week?
• Is this truly going to be my final treatment tomorrow?
• Did it work? Am I cured?
• Why is my scan going to be in three months?
• When can I get back to normal routines?
• When can I start doing new things I want to try?
• Why God did this happen to me?

As I began to pray I realized I knew the answers to these questions no matter how Satan tried to frame them to make me worry, lose faith or to feel defeated.

• My friends have lives that don't revolve around me 24/7. I know they are praying, supporting and loving on me even if they do not tell me everyday!
• It is my final treatment tomorrow even if it is just for this round. Either way, a break is coming!
• Yes it worked and I am cured now or on the other side, but I know healing is coming either way!
• Because my doctor is confident it worked!
• Ask your doctor tomorrow, that's what he is here to help you understand!

• It rains on the just and unjust alike, I am no better than the person next to me. Just a sinner saved by grace!

​The truth is many greater people than me and children deserve an answer to the last question, but the truth is we are all impacted by this fallen, broken and sick world. The real healing, power, love and sinless perfect existence is coming and it is coming sooner than later for many of us, either through death or His return. Let us be faithful to glorify God in both our sufferings and victories as long as we are here. Round 12, I will see you tomorrow.
